Some of the best memories from my childhood were of weekends spent at Piedmont. Ray Webb (my father), Warren Steele, and myself would always look forward to racing at the SCRA events and most especially at events when Elmer Trett ("Big E" as we called him) would be at. I will never forget the sound of Mountain Magic or the ease at which you could approach and speak with Elmer, those were the good ol' days, thanks Jim Turner for all you did for us in those days.

Have anyone ever heard of a former racer named Jim Hildreth?

I'm very happy to read that Elmer is going to be inducted. Im sure it's a real honor for the Trett family and all Elmers friends. Hope to see everyone at the ceremony.
